To celebrate National Coffee Day I made a nice cup of black coffee with my aero press and then made this thing in Illustrator.
I was commissioned last week to create this vector illustration of client's home in Washington DC. I love illustrating in this flat style but it came with a few challenges for this home. Getting the front-left of the building to look rounded was difficult but I finally accomplished the effect. I added texture by applying a outlined brick pattern I made to portions of the building and then inverting it for other areas.
Saturday I visited the Camera Obscura at the Cliff House in San Franscisco. Based on a 15th century design by Leonardo da Vinvi, it projects a 360 degree view of Seal Rock coast onto a table inside.
Today was my first stab at pixel art. I'm pretty sure there is a better method than how I made this in Illustrator.
